Roses, vintage images & beautiful things are just some of the many things that I love.

Today we are celebrating Pink Saturday’s 2nd Birthday so I decided to go into my Pink Saturday archives and dig out some of those gorgeous things I’ve shared since my first Pink post in June 2009.

Welcome and Happy 2nd Birthday to Pink Saturday!

Good china always helps make a celebration special. This teapot and tureen are so richly ornate – don’t they make you feel you’re in a grand palace in France?

The next item I found was one of my recreated pieces.  The roses you can see on the plate of the compote are decoupaged onto a motley background of pink, green and pale yellow.

I rather like the idea of filling the compote with delicious chocolates……. then eating them all with the excuse that you need to see the roses 😉

A pretty gift for the party …. a tiny, cute tassel adds more prettiness to the fluffy organza gift bag.

I think you’ll agree that roses are a favourite, so here is a lovely pink one for you.

Welcome to Pink Saturday!

It’s exciting to get back into Pink Saturday. For those of you who pop in frequently, you will notice I have a New Look blog. This coincides nicely with my 200th blog post…. So stay tuned for a celebration to mark these two events!

While doing my ‘on again – off again’ clean up around the garage & work area I organised a small collection of teapots. Some will need to be recreated & some are more of the ‘collecting’ type. I don’t have any newer recreations to show you so I fossicked through my photo archives to find one old teapot which was given a makeover a few year back.

Of course this can’t be used as a teapot but it can be used as a decorative piece. The teapot is more pink in colour than is showing up in the photo. In the above photo it’s sitting elegantly on a recreated tray.

Old teapots make charming vessels for beautiful blooms …. preferably the real kind though – don’t know what I was thinking when I took this photo, lol.
